Wastequip Steel Division is hiring a MIG Welder for the Erial, NJ manufacturing operation. The role requires reliable MIG welding experience in a fast-paced setting, with the ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools. The position involves laying out, tack welding, and operating safety procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math skills, and familiarity with oxygen/fuel gas setups. Overtime and Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED/Technical School preferred.
• MIG welding experience required.
• Six months or more of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Knowledge of basic math, tape measure reading, fractions & decimals.
• Ability to read blue prints and measuring tape.
• Experienced in a fast paced production environment preferred.
• Able to pass all EHS required tests and clearances.

Responsabilités

• Position parts in jigs or fixtures on bench or floor, or clamp parts together along layout marks.
• Lay out, position, and tack welds as directed.
• MIG welds along vertical, horizontal, and overhead weld lines.
• Connect regulator valves to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders and adjust flow to obtain desired flame.
• Examine welds for bead size and conformance to specs; grind slag as needed.
• Lift and move parts up to 90 lbs as required; work in a fast paced production setting.
