Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear is seeking skilled welders for the 2nd shift in Albemarle, NC. You will MIG-weld, inspect welds, read blueprints, operate related equipment, and ensure parts meet stringent tolerances.

The position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to stand for long hours in a non-climate-controlled environment. We offer comprehensive benefits and a 2nd shift premium.

Qualifications

• MIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment or equivalent technical schooling.
• Able to read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fabricate metal parts.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" increments; basic logs/reports in English.

Responsibilities

• MIG welding to join metal parts per specifications.
• Operate metalworking machines such as shears, presses, and grinders.
• Fabricate metal parts using hand and power tools as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches for fabrication.
