Job summary

ExacTech North in Crystal Falls, MI is seeking 1st shift MIG welders to join our brand-new team. As part of a turnkey heavy fabrication group, you will weld and fabricate steel parts and participate in in-house training.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma in welding is required.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Able to read tape measure and convert measurements to decimals.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of pre-heat and post-heat weldments.

Responsibilities

• Weld with MIG process using metal-cored and flux-cored wires.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine welding requirements.
• Grind parts to smooth surfaces before and after welding.
• Position components using overhead/jib cranes during welding.
• Uphold ISO and OSHA standards applicable to responsibilities.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

ExacTech North in Crystal Falls, MI is looking to add 1st shift MIG welders to our brand new team. As part of a turnkey heavy fabrication team, our welders are responsible for welding and fabricating various steel parts. We are proud to offer in-house job training for all our team members.

1st Shift; Monday-Thursday; 5:00am - 3:30pm

As a MIG Welder, you will…

• Perform MIG welding with Metal-cored wires & flux-cored wires to assemble large steel pieces together
• Read and interpret blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements
• Use disc grinders to smooth out parts to ensure there are no defects prior to and after welding
• Use overhead cranes and jib cranes to place components in position for welding
• Uphold all ISO and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
• Complete all other duties and responsibilities that are assigned

We are looking for you to…

• Have a Technical diploma in welding
• Understand pre-heat and post-heat weldments
• Be able to read Blueprints and drawings
• Be able to use a tape measurer and convert measurements into decimals
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
