Job summary

Global Power Components is launching a Welding Academy trainee program in Milwaukee, WI. This on-site role offers 6 weeks of paid training and hands-on welding instruction within a growing manufacturer of UL steel tanks, trailers, and enclosures.

As an Academy Trainee you will gain skills reading blueprints, measuring with tape, and using hand/power tools while building reliability and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning welding skills.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, automotive, maintenance, assembly, farming, military, or other hands-on environments preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

Requirements:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in learning welding skills.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, automotive, maintenance, assembly, farming, military, or other hands-on environments preferred.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic shop math.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
