Job summary

Harvard Integrations in Tea, SD is seeking an experienced metal fabricator to assemble and weld cabinets, enclosures, and bases, following customer specifications and drawings. You will operate MIG welding and use common hand and power tools on varied components.

You will set up equipment, weld parts, install components on enclosures/bases, inspect weld quality, and work with cranes or forklifts as needed. The role emphasizes safety and detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience acceptable.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints.
• Proficient in MIG welding.
• Skilled with basic hand and power tools, tape measure, grinders and saws.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Willing to operate a forklift and lift up to 50–100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow customer specifications and drawings; gather materials and weld base or enclosure.
• Set up equipment and weld parts together using MIG, gas, and arc welding processes.
• Install specialized parts on enclosures and bases using cutting, welding and grinding tools.
• Inspect welds for size, quality and precision.
• May repair products by dismantling, straightening and rewelding as needed.
• Operate crane or forklift to move components and work areas.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
• Collaborate with engineering staff for design changes when needed.
