Maquoketachamber is seeking a skilled welder/fabrication worker in Maquoketa, IA for 2nd shift. The role includes fixturing, welding, finishing and inspecting welded parts, with training on 1st shift and pay from $19.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Applicants will read blueprints, interpret job orders, build fixtures, prepare weld zones, tack assemblies, clean and repair welds, and braze parts to remove rough edges. Benefits are offered as listed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Criminal background will be reviewed.
• Drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Fixturing, fit-up, tacking, welding, finishing and inspection of welded parts.
• Read and interpret blue prints, specifications and job orders.
• Build and assist with building fixtures, preparation of weld zones, tacking assemblies, cleaning and repair welds.
• Brazing parts for rough edges.
