MIG Structural Welder – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
- Perform MIG welding on structural steel components and assemblies
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
- Prepare materials and verify proper fit-up prior to welding
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Perform weld touch-ups and repairs as needed
Production
- Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time
- Maintain accurate workmanship and follow established welding procedures
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
Safety & Quality
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
- Properly use welding equipment and personal protective equipment
- Maintain quality standards throughout the fabrication process
- Participate in training and continuous skill development opportunities
MIG Structural Welder – Additional Qualifications
- Previous structural steel fabrication experience is a plus
- Experience with grinders, measuring tools, and fabrication equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable work ethic with a desire for long-term career growth
