Responsibilities

  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Perform weld touch-ups and repairs as needed
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time
  • Maintain accurate workmanship and follow established welding procedures
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards

MIG Structural Welder – Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Welding & Fabrication
  • Perform MIG welding on structural steel components and assemblies
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
  • Prepare materials and verify proper fit-up prior to welding
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
  • Perform weld touch-ups and repairs as needed
Production
  • Meet production schedules while maintaining quality standards
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects on time

Safety & Quality
  • Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
  • Properly use welding equipment and personal protective equipment

MIG Structural Welder – Additional Qualifications
  • Previous structural steel fabrication experience is a plus
  • Experience with grinders, measuring tools, and fabrication equipment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Dependable work ethic with a desire for long-term career growth
