MIG Welder| $16.50-18.50/hr

Pay Rate: $16.50-18.50 per hour
Schedule: Day and Night Shift

BlueWorx is currently seeking a Welder I to support the fabrication of steel frames and building components for a manufacturing partner in Oklahoma City. This is a hands‑on role ideal for candidates with MIG welding experience who value safety, teamwork, and consistent work hours.

Position Summary

The Welder I will assist in the fabrication and welding of steel frames and structural components. Candidates should be comfortable working in a production environment and following established welding procedures. MIG welding and fitting experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals who meet the basic requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely perform MIG welding on steel frames and building components
• Use fabrication tools including scrapers, 7” grinders, welding hood, and gouger
• Assist with fitting and preparation of materials prior to welding
• Follow all welding procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies
• Maintain proper housekeeping and organization of assigned work area
• Demonstrate constant awareness of workplace safety
• Complete required training on company policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

• Familiarity or fluency with MIG welding processes
• Experience with plasma torches and oxy-acetylene cutting is a plus
• Welding certifications are beneficial but not required
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand for extended periods
• Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
