Job summary

North American Slate is seeking an experienced Territory Sales Representative for the Mid-Western region to drive sales of our premium slate products to architects, contractors and suppliers.

The role covers Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin with extensive travel. The successful candidate will close deals, manage the full sales cycle, and build a diverse client portfolio for a growing slate industry leader.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of proven sales experience.
• Strong relationship-building and closing skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (≈50%+).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers and build partnerships.
• Engage with contractors, suppliers, and architects to secure specifications.
• Provide expert product consultation on slate types and colors.
• Present pricing and contract terms to clients.
• Manage entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Provide reporting to leadership and forecast pipelines.
• Coordinate account management including lead generation and samples.
• Estimate, quote and analyze costs for slate products.
