Job summary

Congruex is seeking an HDD Operator to run heavy construction equipment for underground utility installations, excavations, and related tasks. You will support field crews, ensure safety standards, and maintain equipment to deliver quality workmanship on projects.

Responsibilities include pre-job planning, operating near utilities, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with project teams. The role requires travel and weekend work as needed to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• CDL with tanker endorsement or willingness to obtain.
• First Aid Certification preferred.
• Flagger Certification preferred.
• Competent Person Certification preferred.
• OSHA 10 Certification preferred.
• Silica Training preferred.
• Confined Space Training preferred.
• Trench Safety Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with safety policies.
• Load and unload heavy equipment from trucks and trailers.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance and documentation.
• Load, haul, transport, set up, and break down equipment safely.
• Operate near active underground utilities with safety precautions.
• Identify utilities and develop safe excavation plans.
• Conduct pre-job site walks to verify locations and hazards.
• Utilize trench shoring systems appropriately.
• Rig and place underground structures.
• Assist with conduit installation and related tasks.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment.
• Communicate status and requirements to supervisors.
• Adhere to OSHA, ANSI, and company safety procedures.
• Work overtime and weekends as needed.
