Job summary

Mullins Mechanical in Houston, TX seeks a Director of Construction to oversee a portfolio of large, complex industrial and large commercial projects. You will guide project executives, ensure safe, on-time, and on-margin delivery, and drive strategic execution across multiple markets.

This role requires 15+ years of leadership in construction, full P&L accountability, and a proven record in project controls and risk management.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in industrial or large commercial construction.
• Proven leadership of large-scale projects and multi-project portfolios.
• Demonstrated full P&L accountability and financial oversight.
• Strong knowledge of project controls, contracts, and risk management.
• Proven ability to develop senior leaders and high-performing teams.
• Experience with construction management and financial reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight for a portfolio of large, complex projects.
• Lead executive-level project reviews and manage performance gaps.
• Oversee scheduling, BIM / VDC, procurement, document and cost controls.
• Manage subcontracting strategies and contractor performance.
• Ensure safety culture and quality standards across projects.
• Mentor Project Executives and develop leadership talent.
• Maintain adherence to company policies and operating standards.
