Whitman Advisory Job Community in Manhattan is seeking a rising-star junior to mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to join a boutique practice handling federal and state matters, including business and land use issues.

This on-site role offers meaningful responsibility, opportunities to draft pleadings, take depositions, and collaborate with partners in a small, sophisticated team in Midtown Manhattan.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York Bar.
• 2+ years of substantive commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience drafting litigation briefs and other substantive legal documents.
• Deposition experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct substantial legal research and analysis on complex litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other legal documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Assist with all phases of commercial litigation from case development through resolution.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.
• Prepare for hearings, conferences, depositions, and other court proceedings.
• Work closely with partners and other attorneys on strategy and case management.
• Manage multiple matters while maintaining strong attention to detail and deadlines.
