Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 3-12 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and applicable Federal Courts.
• New Jersey admission is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft motion papers, pleadings, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs in state and federal courts, as well as in ADR proceedings.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw and other platforms.
• Draft and respond to discovery demands and manage all aspects of e-discovery.
• Conduct depositions; first-chair deposition experience is strongly preferred.
• Handle various phases of litigation and arbitration proceedings, including injunction-related matters.
• Communicate effectively with sophisticated domestic and international clients.
• Manage multiple complex matters with exceptional attention to detail and work quality.

A leading mid-sized law firm in New York City is seeking a talented Commercial Litigation Associate to join its sophisticated and growing Litigation Practice Group. Position Overview

The ideal candidate will have 3-12 years of commercial litigation experience (with 6+ years preferred) and demonstrated experience managing all phases of complex commercial litigation matters. This role requires a highly motivated, detail-oriented attorney with exceptional analytical, writing, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft motion papers, pleadings, memoranda of law, and appellate briefs in state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution proceedings
• Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw and other legal research platforms
• Draft and respond to discovery demands and manage all aspects of e-discovery
• Conduct depositions; first-chair deposition experience is strongly preferred
• Handle various phases of litigation and arbitration proceedings, including injunction-related matters
• Communicate effectively and responsively with sophisticated domestic and international clients
• Manage multiple complex matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and work quality

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with attorneys working in-office Tuesday through Thursday and remotely Monday and Friday.

• Base salary range: $130,000 - $215,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and bar admission
