Job summary

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Up to 6 months experience in package handling or switching/CDL operations preferred.
• Must be able to lift heavy packages and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers between yard and loading doors and coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
• Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System or switcher cards.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
• Load and unload packages onto or from delivery vehicles, trailers, carts and load gratings.
• Sort packages by reading labels and numbers and following procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
