Job summary
Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, seeks a Floater Assistant Operator for the Chicago, IL facility. You will safely operate machines including coil crane and butt welder, assist in maintenance, and support production operations on the midnight shift.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of manufacturing experience, an associate/bachelor or trade cert, and crane certification. Expect a $26.79 hourly pay plus Production Incentive Bonus, with full-onsite presence and safety-first practices in
Qualifications
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
- Crane certification required; ability to operate precision instruments.
Responsibilities
- Operate mill equipment safely and maintain machine safety.
- Troubleshoot and communicate problems to mill crew.
- Calibrate micrometers at shift start and during changeovers.
- Assist maintenance with equipment repairs and changeovers.
- Maintain housekeeping in all work areas and support team functions.
- Participate in training and cross-training of team members.
- Perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
