Job summary

Atlas Tube Chicago, LLC is seeking a Floater Assistant Operator for our Chicago, IL facility. You will safely operate machines (coil crane, butt welder, cutoff saw, bundler), perform housekeeping, and assist in production as needed.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years manufacturing experience, an associate or higher degree (or trade cert), and crane certification. Pay is $27.40/hr plus production incentives, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Crane certification required; commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to read precision measurement instruments and record data.

Responsibilities

• Operate mill equipment including coil crane, butt welder, cutoff saw, and bundler.
• Maintain housekeeping and support maintenance in daily operations.
• Calibrate micrometers and assist changeovers; report issues promptly.
• Follow safety policies and participate in training and cross-training.
