Job summary

Utah State Developmental Center is seeking a DSP Coordinator (Midnight) to supervise staff and coordinate care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in a 10-hour overnight schedule. The role emphasizes independent judgment, policy enforcement, and staff training within a supervised facility.

Responsibilities include monitoring treatment plans, ensuring compliance with Title XIX standards, and coordinating with management on facility operations during the midnight shift.

Qualifications

• At least one year managerial/supervisor experience working at USDC.
• Direct knowledge of USDC hiring processes, time management and related upper level supervisory duties.
• Ability to conduct investigations and direct working knowledge related to professional report writing.
• Candidate must have knowledge and experience working in professional situations.
• Candidate must be willing and able to flex schedule as needed for situational needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with management in monitoring active treatment of intellectually disabled individuals.
• Provide direct supervision of assigned staff and functional supervision of building staff.
• Provide training/in-servicing to building staff independently and in coordination with the training department.
• Ensure building environments are in compliance with Title XIX standards.
• Assist management to ensure that all policy violations and disciplines are handled in a consistent and timely manner.
• Exercise independent judgement in identifying and solving routine problems regarding facilities and services.
• Training Lead Direct Support Professionals in leadership and management responsibilities.
• Modeling direct care services to include bathing, showering, dressing, toileting or changing incontinent briefs (diapering), and oral hygiene.
