Responsibilities

• Provide targeted math/science tutoring to middle and upper school students.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual student needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and teachers about progress.
• Record and report student progress after each term.
• Collaborate with Math Department on curriculum and standards.
• Attend weekly tutor meetings and fall training.

Math/Science tutoring involves one-on-one tutoring with students in Waterford Middle School and Waterford Upper School. Tutoring sessions usually occur two times per week. Sessions are 40-50 minutes, and take place both during school and after school hours Monday through Friday. The tutoring position includes the following expectations:

• Maintain organized student records in Google Drive.
• Use Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Canvas effectively.
• Monitor student grades, assignments, and teacher updates in Canvas.
• Attend weekly tutor meetings.
• Participate in required fall training with the Math Department Chair.
