Job summary

Catapult Learning, a division of FullBloom, seeks a Middle School Tutor for Bound Brook Community Middle School in New Jersey. You will provide contracted instructional services in reading, mathematics, and writing using our curriculum and tools to support student growth.

The schedule is 8:55am-3:00pm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a one-hour break. You will advocate for students and collaborate with families and school staff to monitor progress and tailor lessons.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors must have an associate degree or 48/72 credit hours.
• Licensed tutors must hold proper credentials recognized by the State of [XXXX] as Properly Licensed Teacher.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services for students.
• Communicate with parents providing information on student progress.
• Deliver prescribed instructional delivery methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend training sessions and implement designated instructional models and strategies in readiness, reading, mathematics, and/or writing skills.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Ensure supervision of students, including escorting students to sessions.
• Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by the Company and agencies.
• Attend meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents as required.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
