Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a Part-Time Middle School Tutor at Bound Brook Community Middle School in Bound Brook, New Jersey. The position is in-person with a 8:55am–3:00pm schedule (Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays).

You will provide tutoring in reading, mathematics, and writing for students using our curricula, coordinate with school staff, and report progress to parents. The role offers $35 per hour with ongoing instructional support and professional development.

Qualifications

• Non-licensed tutors require an associate degree (or at least 48 semester hours / 72 quarter hours).
• Licensed tutors require state proper credentials recognized as a Licensed Teacher.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.
• Teaching experience is preferred.
• Ability to navigate online platforms for record keeping and communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services.
• Communicate progress with parents.
• Deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by the Company.
• Attend trainings and deliver instructional models and strategies.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• Supervise students and ensure safety during sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files per Company and regulatory requirements.
• Attend meetings with Supervisors, teachers, principals, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.
