Job summary

Thrive Education Partners is seeking an experienced educator to provide personalized, in-person tutoring to a middle-school student in North Austin. The role focuses on strengthening math skills while developing executive functioning, organization, and study habits.

You’ll meet twice weekly for one-hour sessions between 4:30 PM and 6:30 PM, Monday-Thursday, supporting the student with academic work and practical strategies for day-to-day school tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or tutoring middle-school students.
• Strong math background with ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Experience supporting executive functioning, organization and study skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic support across math, ELA, science, and social studies.
• Offer deeper support in middle-school math and address skill gaps.
• Assist with homework, studying, test prep, and daily coursework.
• Teach practical executive functioning strategies for organization, planning, time management and task tracking.
• Help prioritize responsibilities and break assignments into manageable steps.
• Build routines and systems to foster independence and confidence.
• Communicate progress and priorities with the family.
