Job summary

SiSTEM is looking for experienced math tutors in the Austin area to mentor students in grades K–12. Tutors will work closely with students to enhance problem-solving skills and build confidence in math through tailored instruction.

Candidates should have 3+ years of teaching or tutoring experience and expertise in one or more math levels. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to set your own rates while maintaining a professional relationship with engaging families.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of teaching, tutoring, or academic mentoring experience in math.
• Expertise in various levels including elementary to high school.
• Experience with students in honors, Pre-AP, AP, or test prep settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one math instruction to students in grades K–12.
• Help develop deeper conceptual understanding of math.
• Communicate student progress with families as necessary.

Skills

3+ years of teaching or tutoring experience in math
