Job summary

Meeting Street Schools in South Carolina seeks a Middle School Certified Special Education Teacher who delivers targeted, differentiated instruction to students needing support. You will work across grade levels and content areas to ensure access to grade-level materials and monitor progress against standards.

You will leverage MTSS and data from assessments to refine interventions, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and maintain strong organization and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• SC Special Education Certification required.
• Minimum of two years of homeroom teaching experience.
• Experience or certification in Orton-Gillingham instructional methods preferred.
• Strong instructional skills and data-informed practice.

Responsibilities

• Applies deep content and pedagogical knowledge to move students closer to grade-level proficiency.
• Creates engaging, rigorous lesson plans.
• Implements robust, outcome-based intervention plans aligned to MTSS.
• Uses data from assessments and observations to refine interventions.
• Collaborates with MTSS team to increase student outcomes.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
