Responsibilities

• Provides direct specialized instruction in small-group or individual settings aligned to IEP goals and state standards.
• Provides push-in support in general education classrooms.
• Provides indirect services including consultation, progress monitoring, and support to general education staff.
• Differentiates instruction and materials to meet student needs.
• Teaches academic, behavioral, and executive functioning skills.
• Implements accommodations and modifications.
• Supports students' access to grade-level curriculum.
• Uses evidence-based instructional practices.
• Consults with general education teachers regarding accommodations and instructional strategies.
• Supports implementation of IEP accommodations in classrooms.
• Assists with progress monitoring and data collection.
• Participates in MTSS/problem-solving teams.
• Supports behavior plans and interventions.
• Implements IEPs and service minutes as written.
• Serves as case manager for assigned students.
• Collects and maintains data on IEP goals.
• Writes progress reports and contributes to IEP development.
• Schedules and facilitates IEP meetings.
• Maintains compliant documentation in district systems.
• Participates in evaluations and reevaluations.
• Collaborates with general education teachers to plan instruction.
• Communicates regularly with families.
