Job summary

Sunbelt Staffing seeks a Special Education Teacher and Case Manager to support 6th–8th graders in a full-time contract role. You will deliver IEP-driven instruction, manage a focused caseload of about 12 students, and collaborate with families and school teams.

The schedule runs Monday through Thursday, with regular collaboration and documentation to ensure compliant progress. This position offers meaningful impact and a supportive learning environment for diverse learners.

Qualifications

• Valid Special Education teaching certification.
• Experience serving middle school students.
• Strong case management skills, including IEP development and progress monitoring.
• Ability to create and adapt differentiated lesson plans for diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers.
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for students with varied needs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals for 6th to 8th grade students.
• Develop, monitor, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings with families and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide academic and behavioral support, assessing and addressing student progress.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate actively with general education teachers to ensure student inclusion and success.
• Serve as a reliable resource for families and staff regarding special education practices.
