Job summary

ASPIRA Delaware is seeking a dedicated Special Education Case Manager with a behavioral/emotional focus for grades 6-8. This role oversees IEP development and implementation, coordinates services, and provides direct and indirect support to help students succeed in the least restrictive environment.

You will collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers; monitor progress, collect data for goals, and support BIPs/FBAs and trauma‑informed practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education or related field.
• Valid state certification/licensure in Special Education required; BCBA a plus.
• At least 2 years with behavioral challenges in school setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students with behavioral and emotional disabilities and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs with goals and accommodations.
• Collaborate with general and special education teachers to implement BIPs and strategies for classroom success.
• Coordinate with Behavior Analyst to support FBAs and effective BIPs.
• Serve as liaison between families, educators, and service providers for coordinated support.
• Monitor progress and collect data for IEP goals and behavior intervention effectiveness.
• Provide consultation and coaching on de-escalation techniques and trauma‑informed practices.
• Lead and participate in IEP and MDT meetings to ensure student needs are met.
• Maintain documentation and ensure reporting requirements are met.
• Stay current on best practices in special education and compliance requirements.
