Job summary

Waukee Community School District Timberline Middle School in Waukee, Iowa is seeking a Special Education Associate. The role is 7 hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and starts immediately. Salary is $19.35 per hour.

Responsibilities include supporting individual and small groups, assisting with PBIS implementation, lunch and classroom routines, and serving as a resource for substitutes while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, preferred.
• Experience as an associate, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.
• Assist the teacher in devising strategies for reinforcing material or skills based on a sympathetic understanding of individual students, their needs, interests and abilities.
• Support PBIS for all students in all settings.
• Assist with lunch, snack, and cleanup routines.
• Serve as the chief source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned in the absence of the regular teacher.
