Job summary

Franklin Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Liaison for Franklin Middle School (grades 6-8) to support students with disabilities and work within the general education setting where appropriate.

The role requires MA licensure in Moderate Special Needs, strong collaboration with staff, and proven ability to develop effective IEPs, implement interventions, and communicate with families. Immediate starting date and full-time status are offered with town benefits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Massachusetts licensure in Moderate Special Needs required.
  • Wilson/OG training preferred.
  • Experience with IEPs and research-based interventions.
  • Strong writing and communication abilities.
  • Public school experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan instruction and intervention for students on IEPs.
  • Administer diagnostic assessments and reevaluations of caseload students.
  • Monitor progress using benchmark systems.
  • Attend Team meetings for caseload students.
  • Write progress reports and communicate with families.
  • Collaborate with general education staff on accommodations and modifications.
  • Collect and analyze student data against IEP goals.
  • Support programming with the special education team.
