In 6th and 7th grades, students are presented a more formal Spanish language experience that divides Spanish I over a two-year period, followed by a complete Spanish II course in 8th grade.

He/she needs to be organized and have the ability to keep on top of an array of fast-moving, complex classroom activities and interactions. Working as a team member and enjoying teaching Middle School students is essential.

We are looking for a candidate who exhibits enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and the capacity for reflection and lifelong learning. Middle School teachers are expected to serve as an effective advisor, which includes a character and spiritual component. He/she will be supported by a department head, instructional coaches, the MS Dean of Students, the Head of MS, the Assistant Head of MS, and the Associate Head of School for Academics.

As with all faculty openings, the School seeks candidates eager to support our mission of preparing students to meet life’s challenges and lead tomorrow’s world through a superior educational program undergirded by faith in Jesus Christ and Christian principles.

  • Model and guide students in Christ-like values and character development
  • Employ current research-informed pedagogies, including project-based learning and design thinking
  • Deliver innovative curriculum that integrated technology intentionally and appropriately
  • Embrace lifelong learning and a growth mindset for yourself and your students
  • Participate collaboratively in grade-level, department, division, and all school-teams
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, energy, initiative, and self-reflection
  • Motivate and engage students
  • Delight in teaching children in the middle school years

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Successful completion of background checks and verification
  • A vibrant Christian spiritual life and a desire to work in a Christian environment
