Position Summary

Brunswick's Middle School seeks an exceptional science educator for the 2026-2027 academic year as a long-term leave replacement substitute, from October 5, 2026 - November 24, 2026. We seek an educator who possesses both technical expertise and a genuine commitment to our mission of preparing boys for life through rigorous academic instruction, mentorship, and co-curricular involvement.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Teach four classes of physics, following lesson plans and curriculum aligned with Brunswick's curriculum standards and mission.
  • Assess student learning through varied methods and provide constructive, encouraging, and corrective feedback.
  • Be accessible to students through school-appropriate communication platforms or scheduled office hours, including arranging additional time for appointments when necessary.
  • Serve as an advisor to a group of students, providing guidance and support.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
