Job summary

Intrepid College Prep is seeking a Middle School Paraprofessional for SY26-27 in Greater Nashville, on-site at Opportunity Academy Middle School. You will provide one-on-one support to students, assist teachers with differentiated instruction, and help sustain a rigorous, college-prep environment.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree with a 2.5 GPA or higher and has at least two years in an urban public or charter school setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Minimum of two years paraprofessional or assistant teaching experience in an urban public school or charter school setting.
• Spanish language ability or experience with bilingual students is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a student with disabilities in a middle school setting.
• Collaborate with Special Populations Teachers to support multilingual students and students with disabilities.
• Utilize structured planning time and professional development to plan high-quality lessons.
• Engage in a culture of practice through classroom visits, sharing teaching strategies, and analyzing data to improve pedagogy.
• Support school-wide systems, structures, and procedures across the campus.
• Participate in after-school programs and occasional evening/weekend community outreach events.
