Job summary

Jenks Public Schools Middle School in Tulsa, OK seeks a Paraprofessional to support students under a Special Education program. The role reports to the Principal and Special Education Teacher and involves small-group instruction and behavior support.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and completion of applicable training (CPR/First Aid, Universal Precautions). This 9‑month, non-exempt position pays $16.58 per hour with duties aligned to district safety and confidentiality

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Meet at least one of: 2 years of college, associate degree or higher, or approved career readiness credential.
• CPR and First Aid training must be completed and kept current.
• District health and citizenship requirements must be satisfied.
• Other board-approved qualifications may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing the program to meet student goals with individual attention.
• Work with students in small groups to reinforce learning as directed by the teacher.
• Support behavior intervention plans and modify materials for classroom use.
• Assist with transitions, routines, and daily activities including restroom and lunch.
• Collaborate with related service providers to meet student needs.
• Maintain confidential student records and progress notes.
• Complete required paraprofessional and universal precautions training.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
