Job summary

Jenks Public Schools West Intermediate is seeking a Paraprofessional. Under supervision of the special education teacher, you will reinforce learning with individuals or small groups, support behavior plans, and help prepare classroom materials.

You’ll assist in transitions, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate with PT/OT/SLP to meet student needs. The role emphasizes collaboration, adherence to schedules, safety, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of study (48 hrs.) at a higher ed institution, or an associate’s degree or higher, or a National Career Readiness Certificate.
  • Complete CPR and First Aid training.
  • Satisfy district health and citizenship requirements and pass district training.

Responsibilities

  • Work with individuals or small groups to reinforce lessons.
  • Support teacher and behavior intervention plans.
  • Modify materials and maintain classrooms for teaching and learning.
  • Assist with transitions (lunch, bathroom, specials, nurse).
  • Collaborate with PT/OT/SLP and other specialists to meet student needs.
  • Maintain student records with confidentiality.
