Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement for the subject.
• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years teaching experience.
• Evidence of meeting highly qualified requirements as defined by No Child Left Behind.
• Ability to teach and develop curriculum for assigned grade level(s).

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with Michigan standards.
• Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Assist students who are behind or struggling to learn content.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop lesson plans and improve learning.
• Communicate with students and parents regarding progress and needs.
• Establish clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Manage student behavior and maintain classroom discipline.
• Use assessment data to inform daily instruction and create classroom assessments.
