Job summary

Nantucket Public Schools seeks a dynamic Math Intervention Teacher for Cyrus Peirce Middle School (grades 6-8). The teacher will support students’ learning in math, co-teach when possible, and apply district math curricula to improve understanding and achievement.

Ideal candidates bring middle school math experience, a passion for math education, and the ability to use diverse assessment methods. Strong collaboration with teachers and administrators is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in math or applicable field.
• Massachusetts Math certification (5-8) or eligibility.
• Experience in middle school math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and progress monitor students’ math abilities and share feedback with students and parents.
• Use Reveal Math, Simplify Math RTI, and ALEKS to support instruction.
• Collaborate with math teachers to plan curriculum and share strategies.
• Provide Tier II push-in intervention within the general math classroom.
• Attend math PD and contribute to ongoing professional growth.
