Job summary

Millard Public Schools is hiring a Kitchen Production Lead for Millard North Middle in Omaha, Nebraska. This 10-month, 8-hour-per-day role runs 6:00am–2:30pm, Monday through Friday, for the 2026-2027 school year.

The position oversees daily food preparation and staff, reporting to the Kitchen Manager. Salary is $21.94 per hour with benefits including health, dental and vision, life insurance, paid holidays and sick leave, and MPERS retirement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification within 90 days of employment recommended.
• State certificate in school food service management is recommended.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily food preparation and lead kitchen staff.
• Provide orientation and training for new employees.
• Coordinate, schedule and assign work for food service staff.
• Maintain records and prepare food service reports.
• Ensure quality of meals and customer satisfaction.
