Job Title: Middle School History Teacher

Department: History Department

Reports to: Mr. Lee Tappy, Head of Middle School

FLSA Status: Exempt

This position is a full-time teaching position beginning August 2025.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach four History classes to students in sixth (Ancient Civilizations) and seventh (US History) grades.
2. Advise a group of 10 students.
3. Provide supervision throughout the day.
4. Perform periodic duty assignments (lunch, traffic, detention, etc.).
5. Leading a club or coaching a sport is also highly encouraged.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in History; a master’s degree is preferred.
2. Three or more years of direct teaching experience in the field is required.
3. Strong academic background and proficient technology skills.
4. Superb organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Ability to work effectively as a team member.
