Job summary

Cambridge Lakes Charter School seeks a full-time Middle School Language Arts educator to design and deliver engaging instruction aligned with our values. The role emphasizes inquiry, project-based learning, and experiential approaches to support the whole child and growth of all learners.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with families and leadership, align curricula, and participate in Cambridge Lakes' Professional Excellence Framework with ongoing professional responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.A/B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution.
• Some roles may require a graduate/terminal degree, or certificate.
• Charter schools may employ non-certified teachers if they have a bachelor’s, graduate, or terminal degree and meet other qualifications.

PREFERRED:

• Current Professional Educator License (PEL);
• Appropriate endorsements per subject matter seeking experience with experiential learning, project-based learning, inquiry approaches, or specialized pedagogies.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Meet the standards outlined in the contract
• Classroom-based with regular interaction throughout the school.
• Attendance at meetings and events outside regular school hours.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift, move, and/or support up to 50 pounds.

COMPENSATION

• Competitive compensation with consistent adjustments to align with the market and skills
• Instructional Practice Advancement (IPA) contingent bonus is paid out twice a year
• Salary adjustments per specialized areas of study, certifications, advanced degree, Golden Apple/Board certification, or as determined by leadership.
