Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools in Tennessee seeks an English/Language Arts teacher to design and deliver standards-based instruction, assessments, and targeted interventions for K-12 students in a high-need community.

You will collaborate with special educators in a co-teaching model, integrate technology into daily lessons, and communicate with parents to support student achievement through data-driven planning.

Qualifications

• Holds a current TN teaching license in English/Language Arts with endorsement (Required).
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Proven track record of academic success as evident in TVAAS/state assessments (Preferred).
• Ability to teach in an inclusion environment with a co-teacher.
• Comfort with extended day and project-based learning.

Responsibilities

• Teach a common core-based English/Language Arts curriculum.
• Create weekly lesson plans and standards-based assessments.
• Analyze assessment data to inform instruction.
• Develop intervention plans for scholars.
• Incorporate technology effectively in lessons.
• Coordinate with special educators in co-teaching for IEPs.
• Meet with parents regarding performance and conduct.
• Plan with school and network teams.
• Attend weekly professional development.
• Tutoring students and other duties as assigned.
