Job summary

Oakland Human Resources Consortium seeks a Middle School English/Language Arts teacher to deliver engaging instruction aligned to state standards.

The candidate will design creative lesson plans, implement MTSS-informed strategies, assess student progress, differentiate instruction, and maintain accurate records while collaborating with staff, students, and parents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
• Secondary Teaching Certification.
• Michigan Teacher Endorsements of BA and/or BX.

Responsibilities

• Implement English Language Arts curriculum aligned to State standards.
• Design and utilize creative and engaging lesson plans.
• Utilize diverse instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.
• Assess students using formative and summative assessments.
• Incorporate practical application of content knowledge in lessons.
• Differentiate instruction to meet each learner's needs.
• Develop and implement interventions for individual students.
• Establish and maintain positive classroom management and a safe learning environment.
• Utilize progress monitoring to track student advancement.
• Maintain accurate and complete student records and collaborate with staff, students, and parents.
