Qualifications

• BA degree in area of major study.
• Valid Massachusetts ESL license (5-12) required.
• Knowledge of second-language acquisition and MA ELL requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct English language development instruction to English learners.
• Plan and deliver instruction aligned with the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework and Massachusetts curriculum standards.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support English learners' access to rigorous, grade-level content.
• Monitor students' language development and progress, adjusting instruction and supports as needed.
• Administer and support required English language proficiency assessments, including ACCESS for ELLs.
