Job summary

Adrian Public Schools seeks a student-centered Middle School Competitive Cheer Coach for Springbrook Middle School. The role focuses on fostering a positive environment, mentoring student-athletes, and building foundational skills while emphasizing safety and competitive routine development.

The coach will guide beginners through advanced concepts, oversee practices and travel, and maintain communication with parents and administrators.

Qualifications

• Regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
• Experience: prior competitive cheerleading experience and coaching youth.
• Knowledge of middle school competitive cheer rules, safety and stunting regulations.
• CPR, First-aid certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Academic mentorship and character development of student-athletes.
• Differentiate skill instruction for beginners to advanced cheerleaders.
• Design progression-based practice plans with safety as priority.
• Lead practices, competitions, and team travel in coordination with the Athletics Office.
• Maintain mat safety, equipment, and communication with parents and officials.
• Prepare age-appropriate competitive routines compliant with safety guidelines.
