Job summary

Forest Hills Public School District in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Middle School Building Testing Coordinator at Northern Hills Middle to support testing for students with IEPs and 504 plans.

You will coordinate accommodations, track usage, prepare testing materials, assist with MTSS, and help with school-wide testing (PSAT, MAP, WIDA, M-STEP).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all IEP and 504 testing accommodations are accurately provided for students.
  • Create and maintain a tracking system to document the accommodations used by students.
  • Coordinate with teachers, case managers, and support staff to confirm student schedules and documentation.
  • Assist with administration of standardized school-wide assessments (PSAT, MAP, WIDA, M-STEP).
  • Organize and oversee testing materials and testing center readiness.
  • Provide instructional support to students or small groups as part of MTSS.
  • Communicate with families regarding testing accommodations when needed.
  • Collaborate with professional staff to improve testing processes and support services.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to testing and accommodations.
  • Support school-wide MTSS initiatives and maintain consistent attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Middle School Building Testing Coordinator

Northern Hills Middle

Reports to: Building Principal/Supervisor of Special Education

Pay Grade: Grade 3, Step 1, $17.51 per hour

Schedule: 29.5 hours per week / Tuesday - Friday / School Year Position

Job Summary: The Testing Center Coordinator is responsible for managing the testing center, specifically supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans. This role involves coordinating accommodations, tracking their use, and ensuring all testing protocols are met. Additionally, this position assists with school-wide testing administration and provides instructional support to students in alignment with our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear in a standard school environment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work may be performed indoors and/or outdoors. The Testing Center Coordinator is directly responsible for the safety, well-being, and work output of students.

Mental Functions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to analyze, communicate both orally and in writing, copy, coordinate, instruct, compute, synthesize, evaluate, use interpersonal skills, compile, and negotiate.

Evaluation: In accordance with the Administrative Support Staff Agreement
