Job summary

Mt. Lebanon School District is seeking an Assistant Principal for Mellon Middle School. This full-time, on-site position reports to the Middle School Principal and supports high-quality educational programming in alignment with the district’s mission.

The role requires leading school-wide operations, enforcing policies, supervising staff, and fostering a safe, respectful learning environment for grades 6-8. Competitive compensation includes health, life, and liability insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Active PA Department of Education Administrative Certificate: Principal PK-12 or Secondary School Principal 7-12.
Five (5) years teaching experience required.
Prior principal experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide school-wide leadership to maintain a safe teaching and learning environment.
Manage educational operations including discipline, attendance, and rule enforcement.
Supervise faculty, support staff, and students; coordinate with special education services.
Maintain active relationships and communication with the school community.
