Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, administration or a related field.
• Five years of licensed teaching experience in CCS or a comparable district, plus one year in school-based administration.
• State of Ohio Principal license (Grades 4-9 or 5-12).

Responsibilities

• Supervises the day-to-day activities of building staff, including hiring, training, counseling and evaluating staff performance.
• Assists the Principal in overseeing delivery of academic instruction aligned with the district’s mission and goals.
• Guides staff engaged in student instruction and promotes curriculum and instruction improvements.
• Monitors student achievement and initiates corrective actions to meet instructional objectives.
• Administers student behavior and discipline programs and counsels students on personal, academic and behavioral issues.
• Plans and coordinates student activities, schedules and events and assists in master scheduling.
• Maintains safety, compliance with health standards, and oversees transportation as needed.
