Job summary

Apollo Global Management, Inc. is seeking a Director to lead its Los Angeles-based Middle Office Operations team.

You will manage trade support, collateral management, and funding operations, partnering with investment, front office, accounting, and technology colleagues in a fast-paced asset management environment. The role requires 8–10+ years in investment management operations, strong leadership, and deep experience across asset classes, with SOC-1 and SOX compliance mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or information systems.
• 8-10+ years in investment/asset management operations.
• 3-5+ years in people management or team lead capacity.
• Experience across multiple asset classes (fixed income, structured products, alternatives, mortgage investments).
• Experience in SOC-1, NAIC, and/or SEC environments.
• Strong tech skills including Bloomberg, Excel, VBA, SQL, CTM, DTCC Alert, and SWIFT.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Middle Office Operations team in the ELS office.
• Provide day-to-day oversight, set priorities, and ensure accountability.
• Manage coaching and talent retention for direct reports.
• Serve as escalation point for complex operational issues.
• Oversee trade processing and settlement across asset classes.
• Review daily holding reconciliations with Investment Accounting.
• Ensure SOC-1 and SOX compliance and audit support.
• Improve workflows, automation, and operational efficiency with tech.
• Lead cross-functional projects to enhance middle office capabilities.
• Support system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
