Selby Jennings is partnered with a Minneapolis-based middle-market investment bank seeking a Senior Analyst or Associate to support execution of M&A and capital advisory transactions across diverse industries.

The role offers meaningful client exposure, lean deal teams, and opportunities for professional development in a collaborative entrepreneurial environment with transaction activity typically ranging from $100M to $500M+ EV.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Investment Banking or related finance roles.
• Strong financial modeling, accounting, and valuation skills.
• Experience supporting M&A, financing, or strategic transactions preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of M&A and capital advisory transactions from initial marketing through closing.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, including operating models, valuation analyses, merger models, and LBO analyses.
• Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, CIMs, management presentations, and other deal-related materials.
• Conduct industry, company, and market research across sectors.
• Coordinate due diligence processes and interact with clients, buyers, investors, attorneys, and other participants.
• Analyze strategic alternatives and develop financial and valuation recommendations for clients.
• Mentor and assist junior team members as appropriate.
