Job summary

Selby Jennings is seeking an Investment Banking Associate or Senior Analyst for a remote role focusing on upper middle-market M&A. You will work closely with senior bankers, develop detailed financial models, and prepare client presentations and CIMs to support transaction execution.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years in investment banking or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Experience executing M&A from initiation through closing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and analyst workstreams.
• Strong client-facing skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
• Perform company, industry, and market research.
• Prepare pitch books, CIMs, and other transaction materials.
• Support buy-side and sell-side M&A execution.
• Coordinate due diligence and manage workstreams.
• Participate in client meetings and investor discussions.
• Assist with market mapping and business development.
• Collaborate with senior bankers and mentor juniors.
