Job summary

Cengage Group is seeking a high-energy sales professional in the United States to drive new business in the Oregon region. You will build executive relationships, develop penetration strategies, and manage a robust pipeline of cybersecurity/enterprise tech opportunities.

You will lead multi-stakeholder deals, articulate the value of InfoSec solutions, and negotiate contracts in a fast-paced learning-technology environment. Strong CRM experience and a Bachelor’s degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in B2B sales.
• Experience selling cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise tech preferred.
• Experience engaging and influencing senior leaders (CISO, CIO, CTO).
• Strong understanding of complex sales cycles and managing multiple opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of new business acquisition within the territory, focusing on relationship building.
• Develop and execute account penetration strategies to break into net-new accounts and expand market presence.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline of high-value opportunities through proactive prospecting (cold outreach, executive engagement, networking, industry events).
• Identify and engage key collaborators (CISO, CIO, CTO, and other senior leaders).
• Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from initial engagement through negotiation and close.
• Position and articulate the value of InfoSec solutions in cyber workforce readiness and compliance.
• Drive deal strategy including pricing and contract negotiations per guidelines.
• Maintain accurate pipeline management and forecasting with clear deal progression and risk access.
