Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in composite layup within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Experience performing composite repairs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality standards.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing employees in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) or similar training management system.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Positive attitude with a strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units(\"Spirit Commercial\")\u2014Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminium manufacturing solutions


Responsibilities

The Workplace Training Coaches will provides technical training, coaching, and instruction composite training and instruction for shop floor employees. Position Responsibilities:


  • Deliver classroom and hands‑on training focused on composite layup, repair, and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience in composite layup within an aerospace manufacturing environment.

  • Experience performing composite repairs is preferred.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of composite materials, manufacturing processes, tooling, and quality standards.

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing employees in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) or similar training management system.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, coaching, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.

  • Positive attitude with a strong focus on safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

  • Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift and accept shift assignment changes as needed to support business and operational requirements.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):


  • Experience with composite repair certification or advanced composite repair techniques.

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.

  • Experience with aerospace composite manufacturing processes and quality systems.

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma principles.

  • Previous experience developing or delivering technical training in a manufacturing environment.

Summary Pay Range: $68,650 - $105,300
